Norm Walker with special guests Paddy Tutty and Ken Hamm
Norm Walker doesn't call himself a storyteller but rather a "story-singer". Even so, the storytelling communities, locally and nationally, have embraced what he does as within the realm of what they call "storytelling". Some call him a "contemporary folk singer". Whatever you call him, at the very least he is an "entertainer" who uses music and stories as his main vehicles, often with a broad range of humour.
Norm Walker is no stranger to folk music. Not only has he had a long-time association with organizing folk music and storytelling concerts and festivals in Regina, but he has also been a performing singer, songwriter and musician, accompanying himself and others on guitar or mandolin. He has been a featured guest on CBC Radio's Basic Black (with Arthur Black) and also Disc Drive (with Jurgen Goth) and performed from coast to coast but mostly in western Canada.

fearing and white
Fearing is well known within the international folk and roots music community as one of its most accomplished songsmiths, storytellers and guitarists. A double Juno award winner in his native Canada, he has experienced commercial and critical success, both in his solo career and with roots/rock supergroup Blackie and The Rodeo Kings. Along the way, Stephen has toured and recorded with everybody from Merle Haggard to Shawn Colvin.
Northern Ireland born and raised White has earned a global following for blending folk and pop stylings with a poets sensibility. Working with the great names of Irish music Sinead OConnor, Van Morrison and writing with the likes of Peter Gabriel and Neil and Tim Finn, Andy has won Irelands top songwriting awards and toured the world many times. A published author, his recent on the road journal/novel 21st Century Troubadour has scored rave reviews.
the fugitives
The Fugitives are the combined talents of Vancouver artists Adrian Glynn, Barbara Adler, Brendan McLeod, and Steve Charles. A group of multi-instrumentalists, songwriters, poets and novelists, each with their own burgeoning solo career, theyve won individual accolades as diverse as the Canadian SLAM poetry championship, CBC poet laureate, and a place in the Peak performance songwriting series. But their primary focus lies in banding together to integrate their sensibilities into a dynamic mix of modern folk.
loudin wainright iii
Although his kids(Rufus & Martha) are stealing the headlines these days, Loudon isn't about to retire. And why should he. Being a topical songwriter, he finds that a constantly changing world keeps providing him with new material.
On his latest release, "10 Songs For a New Depression", he has chosen to write about both the demise of America, as well as his own mortality. The results are both hilarious and enlightening. The sort of thing that we've come to expect from Loudon.
